November is National Home Care and Hospice Month

In the past year, the staff of Franklin County Home Health Agency (FCHHA) made more than 92,000 visits to over 1600 people in Franklin County to provide home-delivered health care.  In honor of the staff, volunteers and families served, FCHHA joins the National Association for Home Care & Hospice in celebrating November as National Home Care and Hospice Month.

"Home care professionals, volunteers and modern medicine make it possible for people to stay in their homes to receive medically necessary home care regardless of their condition," says Janet McCarthy, Executive Director, FCHHA.  “Because of our exceptional staff and volunteers, dedicated board, donors, town support, and loyal referral sources, we have been able to succeed in our mission.  Our commitment to the community we serve has never been stronger, and we continue to provide quality patient care with unsurpassed compassion and resolve.

Through technological advances, home-delivered healthcare has grown far beyond basic professional nursing and home care aide services.  FCHHA offers skilled nursing, home health aides, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy, medical social work, and hospice care.

FCHHA is a non-profit home health care organization governed by a volunteer board of directors.  The main office is located in St. Albans and a branch office is in Enosburg.  The Agency provides home health care and hospice services throughout Franklin County.  For more information about the programs and services offered by FCHHA, call 527-7531.
