Why Choose a Home Health Career

Physical Therapists Marissa Hurley (right) and Wanda Gates (left) recently received their OASIS Certification. We support our employees’ interest in advancing their careers.

At Franklin County Home Health Agency (FCHHA), caring is not only what we do, it is who we are.  For almost 50 years, our staff have been serving people of all ages in their homes and the community with the goal of helping individuals and families live well at home.  Today, we offer a full range of services and programs, providing care that spans a lifetime.

It is an exciting time to be working in home health care. Factors such as the growing aging population, advances in technology, and preferences to age in place are contributing to a strong future for Home Health.

Home health’s unique perspective on patient care and proven ability to improve outcomes are being highlighted in health care reform efforts. FCHHA offers you the opportunity to be part of these initiatives in enhanced care delivery and to become part of a team with a reputation for compassion and quality care.

As a Silver Level Breastfeeding Friendly employer, we provide comfortable, private space for mothers to nurse their babies or express milk so that they can continue working while also breastfeeding.

Our Spirit Team organizes fun activities to recognize your work and give you a chance to meet your colleagues in an informal setting. Caring Hearts and Hands is a program that encourages staff and patients to recognize people when they go above and beyond in their work. To find out more about the wellness programs we provide to our employees, view this episode of our public access TV show, “Where the Heart Is.”
