Freedom Ride 2006

We are grateful to the motorcyclists who rode in the Freedom Ride on July 16, 2006 and the many people who pledged support of Hospice.  The fifth annual Freedom Ride included 52 motorcycles, with 18 carrying passengers, riding in memory or honor of loved ones.

The route took riders from St. Albans Bay Town Park through St. Albans, Fairfield, Bakersfield, Jeffersonville, Cambridge, Fairfax and Georgia.  Riders returned to the park for a barbecue, memorial name-reading and prize drawings.  The event raised over $4500 to support Hospice.

The Freedom Ride was made possible with support from event sponsors and local businesses who contributed refreshments and prizes.  The silver sponsor of the event again this year was Lyndonville Savings Bank.  Bronze sponsors were OptionCare, Office Qtrs., Inc, and Brady & Levesque Funeral Home.

The Agency would also like to recognize other contributors to the event including LG Printing, Monarch Medical, Hannaford Supermarket in Enosburg, Hannaford Supermarket in St. Albans, Bob’s Meat Market, Grand Union, Price Chopper, McDonald’s in Swanton, Yankee Medical, Swanton Rexall, Desorcie’s Market, Shaggy’s Snack Bar, Zippy’s Snack Bar, The Parts Store, Inc., J&L Service Center, Senesac Yamaha, Inc., Green Mountain Powersports, Nana’s Restaurant, Simply Divine, Swanton House of Pizza, Pam’s Place, Domino’s Pizza, Total Home Center, Swanton Beverage, St. Albans Cooperative Creamery, Dunkin’ Donuts in Swanton and  Farrell Distributing Corp.
