Franklin County Home Health Agency
believes prevention and education play a crucial role in keeping people healthy and safe. The Agency
will once again be offering annual series of flu vaccination clinics this
fall.
The schedule for our Public Flu
Vaccination Clinic will be posted here and in local newspapers in September.
Please check back or call our office at 527-7531 for more information about
flu clinics in Franklin County.

Association in counties throughout Vermont, visit the Vermont Department of

FCHHA's public flu clinics
are open to all adults, both low and

What are the charges for
Franklin County Home Health Agency's public flu clinics?
 | For vaccine recipients
with Medicaid or Medicare Part B, FCHHA will bill Medicaid or Medicare.
Please bring your Medicaid or Medicare Part B card to the clinic.

 | For recipients without
Medicaid or Medicare, the charges will be as follows (to be paid by cash or
check at the clinic):
Low Risk: Please call our office.
High Risk: Please call our
office. (This
covers the cost of administration. For the 27th year, BlueCross/BlueShield
of
Vermont will again generously donate funds for the purchase of
flu vaccine for
people at high-risk of complications of influenza disease, served
through public
clinics.) |
Franklin County Home
Health Agency's public flu clinics are open to
both low-risk and high-risk
ADULTS.
*Individuals who meet any one of the criteria below are at high-risk for
complications from influenza:

age
50 or older
|
 | residents
of nursing homes and other chronic-care facilities that house persons of any
age who have chronic medical conditions
|
 | people
with a long-term health problem with heart disease,
lung disease, kidney
disease, asthma, diabetes,
anemia or other blood disorders
|
 |
people
with a weakened immune system due to HIV/AIDS or other diseases that affects
the immune system
|
 | adults
who have any condition that can compromise respiratory function or handling
of respiratory secretions that can increase the risk for aspiration
|
 |
women
who will be pregnant during the influenza season
|
 | household
contacts of persons at increased risk for influenza-related complications
due to medical condition or age |
