Protect Yourself and Others Our public flu shot clinics start September 13 and continue through November 1. These clinics are open to all adults. "Vaccination is especially important for people at higher risk of severe influenza and their close contacts," said Executive Director Janet McCarthy. "This includes people who are helping with the care of a loved one at home as well as healthcare personnel and anyone with close contacts to children younger than six months. It is also very important to get your flu shot every year, as immunization diminishes with time. Even if you got a flu shot last year, get one this year to be safe and healthy." We will bill Medicaid, Medicare Part B, as well as some private insurances. Please bring your insurance card to the clinic. If you have no coverage, the charge is $35. Individuals who meet high risk criteria and who have no health insurance can get their shot thanks to the donation of funds from BlueCross/BlueShield of Vermont. 2011 Public Flu Clinics Open to All Adults:
